Wallace Performance Rolling Road Day
21st October 2006A few years back, if someone had said eleven Cavalier Turbos would converge on Aberdeen from all over the country i'd have laughed. Thanks to Dave Reid, on the 21st of October exactly that happened. Due to the distances people were travelling it was decided to make it a weekend event so following the RR Day on Saturday five of the eleven Cavalier Turbos disappeared off into the hills around Braemar to do what they do what they do best, be driven. This time Warren Parry was star man on the rollers putting in a respectable 286.5bhp, glowing turbo and all!
Trax 2006
3rd September 2006The Cavalier Turbo Owners Register put in their second Trax appearance in September 2006. Seventeen Turbos showed in total including one which stopped by on it's way back from the Nurburgring! A few CTOR members were even seen in action on track and on the 0-60 strip, the quickest 0-60 sprint being recorded by Simon Mack at 5.99 seconds.
Performance Vauxhall Show 2006
4th June 2006June 2006 saw the CTOR's first official attendance at the Performance Vauxhall Show. Thanks go to Tom Williams for organising the tickets and to Kevin and Cheryl Hodges for organising the cars on the day. 18 cars showed in total and the sun beat down all day long. Indeed, it was so hot a few went home nursing a dose of sun burn!
Well Lane Rolling Road Day
26th March 2006Well Lane Turbo Centre in Yorkshire was chosen to hold the CTOR's first Rolling Road Day. Thirteen Cavalier Turbos ran in total with the highest output of the day being a whopping 339bhp from Saj Ahmeds car. Warren Parrys Cavalier also made a very respectable 326bhp without the use of Nitrous. Over half of the cars present ran in 4wd on the day and despite a few mishaps everybody drove home. The most spectacular of these being Saj's Nitrous system malfunctioning during its last power run creating a 10 foot flame thrower!
Trax 2005
4th September 2005The first show the CTOR attended was Trax in 2005. Once again owners travelled the length and breadth of the country to be there with over 20 Cavalier Turbos on show for all to see. Thanks were due again to Tom Williams who not only organised the CTOR's attendance there but distributed CTOR embroidered shirts and show number plates on the day.
Luton 2004
4th September 2004The first Cavalier Turbo gathering was arranged by Tom Williams and Mike Hayward and took place at the Vauxhall Heritage Centre in Luton on the 4th of September 2004. 23 cars turned up in total with owners travelling from as far afield as Fife in Scotland to be there.
